Phase Incorporated was founded in 1971 in Rockville, Maryland. William F. Alexander Jr. joined the board of Phase Incorporated in 1981. In 1986, Mr. Alexander gained full ownership of the company. In 1993, his son, Jeffrey W. Alexander, joined the Board of Directors. The decision was made to bring the business closer to home in 2003, when Phase relocated to Mt Airy, Maryland. Jeff retained full ownership of Phase in 2012. Currently, Phase operates with a team of 13 employees.
The current owner, Jeff Alexander, graduated from Glenelg High School in 1980. As a third-generation machinist, he joined the workforce right away. He and his wife, Mary, have 3 children and 6 grandchildren. When he isn’t at the shop, Jeff can be found at a car show or working on special projects with his grandkids.
